"The Impossible Heir" episode 2 delivered a fast-paced story as Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Young laid out a plan to take over one of Korea's biggest conglomerates, Kangoh Group.

Helmed by "Insider" and "Missing: The Other Side" director Min Yeon Hong and screenwriter Choi Won of "Miss Butcher," their story highlights the mission of two individuals who were bound by their goals.

Despite coming from different statuses, Han Tae Oh, played by Lee Jae Wook, and Kang In Ha, portrayed by Lee Jun Young, met in an unexpected way.

With his dark background, Han Tae Oh was mocked by people around him; however, because of his intelligence, he was able to use it for his benefit as well as gain the trust of his new friend Kang In Ha, an illegitimate chaebol's son who is looked down upon by his stepbrothers.

Amid their personal struggles in life, they've agreed to gain the power of Kangoh Group through the promising "Co-prosperity Cooperation Centre."

'The Impossible Heir' Episode 2 Recap

While the pilot episode focuses on how Han Tae Oh and Kang In Ha meet, the second episode showcases the start of their mission.

In addition to this, the story featured a budding romance and an intertwined love triangle.

The episode began with Kang In Ha seemed jealous that his best friend Han Tae Oh lives close to Na Hye Won and was surprised that he didn't tell him.

However, for Tae Oh, it was nothing to him, and he didn't know back then that he had feelings for her, not until he confessed about it.

The next scene featured how chaotic Kang In Ha's family was.

His half-sister, Kang Hee Joo, is the only family member who adores In Ha and wants to be around him.

She begged his dad to invite his half-brother, to which the chairman gladly agreed.

Unfortunately, the rest of the family members were not excited that he would join the dinner.

At this point, Hee Joo was frustrated with his older brother's attitude, Kang In Joo, and threw a massive fit.

She ran away from home and called Tae Oh to fetch him, but was surprised that Kang In Joo went to get her.

At this point, the second episode not only highlighted Hee Joo's confession to Han Tae Oh but also a possible love triangle between her, Han Tae Oh, and Na Hye Won.

Speaking of Hye Won, she gets harassed by a group of men who accuse her mother of getting a huge amount of money and running away.

Na Hye Won wants to get away from her mother's shadow, including the debt and financial burden that she has to endure because of it.

Running away from home, she accidentally meets Han Tae Oh.

At this point, she made her intentions clear to him. Hye Won asked for help and made it clear that she was also using Kang In Ha's influence to climb out of their miserable circumstances, which, unfortunately, seemed like she was manipulating Kang In Ha's emotions towards her.

In the last scene, episode 2 illustrates the future of the trio.

5 years later, Kang In Ha is officially part of the company, while Han Tae Oh works at the global leader team.

The duo is about to start their lifelong plan regarding the Co-prosperity Cooperation Centre.
