Disney+ teases viewers with the powerful cast lineup of the upcoming K-drama "Blood Free."
Headlined by top stars Han Hyo Joo and Joo Ji Hoon, the upcoming K-drama is a suspense thriller that depicts the story of how a genetic engineering enterprise will change humans' behavior through the consumption of food.
Following the still cuts featuring the main leads, Disney+ introduced the supporting cast, joining Han Hyo Joo and Joo Ji Hoon.
Meet the 'Blood Free' Cast
In the latest update, the streaming platform released the official poster featuring the cast of "Blood Free."
Han Hyo Joo, who is known for her badass roles in "Moving" and "Happiness," takes on the character of Yoon Ja Yoo.
She is the hotshot CEO of one of the world's largest biotech companies, BF. Due to the threats surrounding her, she hired a skilled bodyguard to protect her.
Lo and behold, she found herself caught up in mysterious deaths and unexplainable incidents along with her bodyguard, Woo Chae Woon, played by Joo Ji Hoon.
Other than his current work, Chae Woon is a former military officer who is known for his intelligence and impressive skill in martial arts.
He will also play a vital role in chasing the person behind the presidential terror attack.
Interestingly, joining the duo as the "Blood Free" cast is a roster of talented stars.
Lee Moo Saeng, who appeared in several K-dramas like "Thirty-Nine" and "Maestra: Strings of Truth," plays the role of On San, BF Group's head of the research center and one of the founding members of the company.
He has also been Yoon Ha Yoo's longtime friend for 20 years.
Adding to the cast is Kim Sang Ho as Kim Shin Gu, the biotechnologist who develops a significant technology to process artificially cultured meat.
Joining as one of the staff in BG Group are Jeon Suk Ho as Seo Hee from the IT department and Park Ji Yeon as Jung Hae Deun, BF Group's planning director.
'Blood Free' Release Date and Where to Watch
Viewers will get to see the amazing team-up between Joo Ji Hoon and Han Hyo Joo as "Blood Free" officially drops on April 10.
With 10 episodes for the whole season run, viewers will get to watch this via Disney+ and Hulu.
Other than the interesting cast lineup, "Blood Free" is helmed by Park Cheol Han, the director of "Grid," along with screenwriter Lee Soo Yeon of the hit K-drama "Stranger."
