Han So Hee's much anticipated women-loving-women film "Heavy Snow" is finally coming to the silver screens this 2024.
The show has previously been screened at the Jeonju International Film Festival last year, which earned the production more spectators.
With this, fans are cheering and looking forward the most to the movie's debut. Here's what we know so far.
Han So Hee's 'Heavy Snow' To Finally Premiere This 2024
On April 9, media outlets reported that the GL (Girls' Love) "Heavy Snow" is finally making its silver screen this 2024.
It's the second feature film of the genius filmmaker Yoon Soo Ik. The production stars Han So Hee and Han Hae In who both challenged themselves with the sapphic genre for the first time.
"Heavy Snow" depicts the romance between two women who grow closer as they share deep secrets while navigating their lives, and finding their ways back to each other after growing apart.
Han So Hee plays the role of Seol Yi while Han Hae In portrays Su An who meet each other at an art school. They create a beautiful friendship that blossoms into a heartwarming relationship.
Last year, "Heavy Snow" was screened at the Jeonju International Film Festival which sold out in a minute. With this, domestic as well as international movie buffs look forward to seeing the film.
Thankfully, the film is finally slated to be released to theaters nationwide in the latter half of 2024. There's no specific details yet so stay tuned for more updates.
It's also expected to be screened in international screens, given the popularity and demand it received in the past year despite being an indie project.
Han So Hee Named As 'Perfect Star' For 'Heavy Snow'
Since her debut, Han So Hee has proven herself when it comes to acting. She rose to the top thanks to her unrivaled skills and unforgettable visuals.
"Heavy Snow" takes viewers back to the past as it is revealed as Han So Hee's film as a rookie actress when she was still "unknown." After 5 long years, it's finally seeing the light of day.
Director Yoon Soo Ik aims to project the ambiguousness and melancholia of romance through the picture of a seascape and a heavy snowfall, thus the title of the film.
In particular, he cast Han So Hee who is a "perfect fit" for the role due to her impeccable beauty and similarities to the beauty and pain that Seol Yi feels in the work.
