After an initial investigation, the team found out that the mother last saw her 5-month-old son while they were having their afternoon nap. Upon waking up, she was surprised that her son was nowhere near her side.

The investigation unit team 1 ruled out that there might be a syndicate behind this after newspapers mentioned that 10 babies were found dead. With the help of two rookie detectives, they gathered a series of significant pieces of information, pointing them to a possible lead.

The team, especially Kim Sang Soon, was suspicious about a certain Audrey Ko, who was running an orphanage. She refused to cooperate with the team after Park Young Han asked if they could do a background check as part of their investigation, which she denied.

However, this didn't stop the team from getting more information.

Interestingly, an orphan revealed to Kim Sang Soon that he saw around 10 babies in the basement and being taken care of by director Yoon.

Things changed when Audrey Ko got furious after finding out that the babies have "defects," which make them "unsellable" to those parents looking for children.

Just when Audrey Ko thought that the women's commissioner would be on her side, the witness revealed that she had an accident after breaking the gas fumes in the basement that caused the infants to suffocate.

The women's commissioner saw that Audrey Ko had a cut on her hand, which made her believe the witness.

Park Young Han and Kim Sang Soon delivered the unfortunate news to the mother after finding the swaddle that she made for her baby in the orphanage's trash can.

Meanwhile, Kim Sang Hoon was having mixed feelings about their recent case. He was happy that they were able to capture Audrey Ko but failed to save 10 babies.

The episode also hinted at Sung Hoon's background story. The reason he was invested in the case is because he also grew up in an orphanage.
