Shin Hye Sun dished on her experience filming her new movie "Following" as she takes on her role as an influencer.

In an interview, the actress shared her honest thoughts about being active on social media and during her downtime.

Why Shin Hye Sun 'Doesn't Enjoy' Being Active on Instagram

As mentioned by EDaily, Shin Hye Sun says that she is not active on social media. According to her, she "personally finds it difficult to use SNS."

Despite this, she expressed how thankful she is for her followers for patiently waiting and supporting her social media posts.

"I'm grateful that (fans) wait for my posts and like them when I post them," she said. However, the actress confessed that she "doesn't enjoy" being active on social media platforms.

Shin Hye Sun's Instagram currently has 4.4 million followers and counting.

As mentioned, she rarely updates her followers, but when she does, the actress shares a glimpse of her work, behind the scenes, and collaborations with brands like Fereggamo, Burberry, Prada, Jil Sander, and more.

On the other hand, Shin Hye Sun admitted that she is also not fond of taking photos while traveling.

"Even when I go to a travel destination, I don't feel the need to take pictures and leave them behind."

According to her, she envies people who are good at taking photos, capturing moments, and keeping memories through pictures, hinting that she lacks talent in this department.

Shin Hye Sun is Self-Confessed Homebody

Speaking of traveling, the top star revealed that she likes to spend her downtimes at home.

Explaining her "homebody tendencies," she admitted that she sometimes feels "embarrassed" that she doesn't travel often and "wants to pretend to be a person who lives a lively life."

Instead, Shin Hye Sun revealed "spending more time exercising and working hard."

Shin Hye Sun's Movie 'Following'

After headlining "Brave Citizen," Shin Hye Sun is back to star in the thriller-mystery movie "Following."

She takes on the role of Han So Ra, an Instagram star who was found dead at her apartment.

Joining Shin Hye Sun in her big screen comeback is Byun Yo Han, who plays realtor Gu Jung Tae, whose hobby is to sneak into strangers' homes. He was also the one who found Ra's dead body and was accused of murder.

Adding to the list of lead stars is Lee El, who plays Oh Young Joo.

Helmed and written by Kim Se Hwi, "Following" highlights the dark side of social media on personal boundaries.

"Following" will officially hit the small screen on May 15.
