Based on the famous webtoon series "Pie Game" and "Money Game," "The 8 Show" follows the journey of eight individuals who were offered to join a mysterious show in hopes of winning a whopping cash prize.
To survive the challenge, they need to entertain the viewers by showcasing exciting scenes.
They can choose between doing a talent show or a game show, which may include violence, sexuality, and anything under the sun.
With this, they will lengthen the time of their stay behind closed doors, which means that they will get a ton of money by staying longer.
However, they will have to do this in extreme settings and be cut off from the usual social settings.
Playing the protagonist, Ryu Jun Yeol takes on the role of Bae Jin Soo, who was forced to join the show to escape the loan sharks. He ends up choosing the third floor, which is one of the lowest-earning individuals in the game.

The second floor went to professional fighter Chun Ja, played by Lee Joo Young, while the 4th floor was chosen by parking car attendant Kim Yang, portrayed by Lee Yeol Eum.
The fifth floor was occupied by the former nurse, Moon Jungh, played by Moon Jung Hee, while the 7th floor belonged to Yu Philip, played by Park Jeong Min, who is considered the most intelligent among the group.
Lastly, the top floors were also occupied by the villains. Park Hae Joon was played by a 6th floor thug who tortured his teammates to entertain the audience.
As for the last participants, the 8th floor, who received the most money, belonged to performing artist Song Se Ra, played by Chun Woo Hee.
