Bok Gwi Ju (Jang Ki Yong) decoded his fateful connection with Do Da Hae (Chun Woo Hee) in "The Atypical Family" Episode 8.
Did Bok Gwi Ju really save Do Da Hae 13 years ago? The protagonist traveled back in time and discovered his connected fate with Do Da Hae. Da Hae also found out that the ring she received before belonged to the Bok family.
'The Atypical Family' Episode 8: Do Da Hae Tries To Push Bok Gwi Ju Away
The more Do Da Hae retreated, the more Bok Gwi Ju approached her. Baek Il Hong (Kim Geum Soon) also accepted Da Hae's offer to steal the future if she gave her time.
However, Da Hae took bold action to separate Gwi Ju from herself and the sauna family.
While looking for her fourth marriage partner, Do Da Hae appeared to do the same things she did to Bok Gwi Ju. She wanted to show that what he thought was fate was part of the plan, but Gwi Ju was not convinced, knowing that her actions were all for her benefit.
Moreover, Bok Gwi Ju started to plan to make Do Da hae laugh. He traveled to the past when Da Hae mentioned about her first time tasting a shaved ice cream.
There, Da Hae was grateful to her grandmother for buying her an ice cream. However, she was sad that Gwi Ju could become happy by taking advantage of her misfortune.
It was a difficult time in Do Da Hae's life. From then on, he gave Da Hae the winning numbers in the lottery, in exchange for his rude behavior of making fun of her misfortune. He also stole the future away from Grace Kang.
Due to this, Da Hae was even more burdened by his kind sincerity.
Bok Gwi Ju Learns His Inevitable Fate With Do Da Hae
In the end, Do Da Hae decided to use the last resort. He wanted to find Bok Man Heum (Go Doo Shim), the person who could put the brakes on her and Gwi Ju. She told Man Heum that Gwi Ju was trying to make a deal with Grace Kang and told her to stop him.
She handed Bok Man Heum the winning lottery numbers given by Bok Gwi Ju. She requested to distance Gwi Ju from her.
Later on, Gwi Ju learned about this. He said he had a keepsake from the person who saved him at the fire incident 13 years ago and asked him to find and give it to his family.
Surprisingly, the ring said to have been given to Do Da Hae was a ring belonging to the Bok Family that Bok Man Heum had seen in a precognitive dream.
After confirming that the ring was still in the safe, Bok Gwi Ju became convinced that he was the one who saved Do Da Hae at the fire scene.
