Hyun Bin’s Movie ‘Harbin’ to Premiere at 49th Toronto International Film Festival

Hyun Bin's movie "Harbin" is gearing up for a world premiere after it was invited to the 49th Toronto International Film Festival.

The annual event honors the best films around the world and showcases them in one festival.

Representing South Korea on the international stage, the historical film will have its first release at the prestigious film festival in Canada.

Per reports, the news was confirmed by the movie's distributor, CJ ENM, announcing that "Harbin" has been invited to the Gala Presentations section of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, which will run from September 5 to 15, 2024.

As for the movie's local release, "Harbin" will officially premiere in theaters in the second half of the year.

Meet the Cast of 'Harbin'

Returning to the big screen after "Two Point Men," Hyun Bin headlines the spy action historical movie "Harbin."

Joining him is a roster of talented stars, which includes Park Jung Min, Jeon Yeo Bin, and Jo Woo Jin as lead stars.

In addition to this, the supporting cast also boasts talented actors like Park Hoon and Yoo Jae Myung, with guest appearances from Jung Woo Sung and Lee Dong Wook.

Set in the early 1900s in Harbin, China, the movie depicts the story of Korean independence activists who risk their lives to claim their homeland.

In "Harbin," Hyun Bin takes on the character of the Korean Army's Lieutenant General Ahn Jung Geun, whose mission is to rediscover their lost nation. Working alongside him is Kim Sang Hyun, played by Jo Woo Jin.

Meanwhile, Park Jung Min plays Woo Deok Soon, an independent fighter who prioritizes his country rather than himself.

Adding to the list is Jeon Yeo Bin, who is best known for her character in "Vincenzo," who portrays Madame Gong, who is a member of the Independence Army.

Lastly, veteran actor Yoo Jae Myung takes on the character of Choi Jae Hyung, who is the assistant of Ahn Jung Geun, while Park Hoon joins as Mori Datsuo from the Japanese Empire.

Meanwhile, "Harbin" is directed by Woo Min Ho of "The Inside Men" and "The Drug King" and will be produced by Hive Media Corp., who worked with "Deliver Us From Evil."
