What You Need to Know About 'Influenza'

Based on the novel written by Han Sang Woon, "Influenza" depicts the story of a soldier who was sent to deal with a zombie outbreak along with his troops to protect humans from catastrophe.

However, amid his responsibility as a soldier, he is also dealing with heartbreak since he has just broken up with his girlfriend.

Park Jung Min, who starred in the Netflix series "Hellbound," takes on the role of rookie soldier Jae Yoon, while BLACKPINK's Jisoo portrays the character of Young Joo.

Like her boyfriend, she is also new to the workforce and is waiting for her boyfriend to return from the military prior to the outbreak.

In the upcoming drama, Young Joo wants to sort things out between her and Jae Yoon after she receives notice about the breakup.

With hopes of meeting him, she then discovers that zombies have taken over the city.

"Influenza" is slated to premiere on Coupang Play, penned by Han Ji Won of "Parasite," with director Yoon Sung Hyun of "Time to Hunt" and "Bleak Night."
