Actress Lee Yo-won has candidly discussed her decision to marry early in her twenties, revealing that she harbors no regrets about her unconventional choice.

The beloved star appeared on the latest episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Gourmet Mukbang Trip', where she delved into her personal life over a sumptuous meal in Suwon.

At the dining table with host Huh Young-man, Lee Yo-won reminisced about her marriage at the age of 23 to a businessman six years her senior back in 2003.

Despite being at the pinnacle of her acting career at the time, she expressed contentment with her decision.

"The timing was good. I have thoughts about the roads I didn't take, but I don't dwell on them too much. I aim to enjoy my everyday life."

The actress, known for her roles in numerous dramas including the recent JTBC hit 'Green Mothers' Club', also touched upon the challenges and rewards of motherhood.

Reflecting on her role as a mother both on-screen and in real life, she emphasized the profound impact of parenting, calling it "the most remarkable and demanding job."

"None of my children were like that, so I couldn't relate to that aspect of the character. But the story felt like it would relate to those in my circle. Being a mother is, in my opinion, the most remarkable and demanding job. Even though I'm a mother, it's hard to play the role of a mother."

Lee Yo-won's openness extended to discussing her husband's discomfort with public scrutiny over their early marriage.

"Because of that, my husband doesn't like it when people ask why I got married so early. Whenever we're in social situations, people always get curious and ask that. My husband avoids responding with something like, 'Please don't bring that up. I'll pass on that.'."
