The release of the new historical drama 'Queen Woo' has gained much controversial attention due to its R-rated content, a significant part of which relates to actress Jeong Yu-mi and Ji Chang-Wook.
The Korean platform TVING released the drama on August 29 and follows the intense struggle of 'Queen Woo' to enthrone a new king within 24 hours after the sudden death of the previous one.
'Queen Woo' is comprised of talented and experienced cast that includes Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Moo-yeol, Jeong Yu-mi, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Ji Chang-wook.
The first four series of the drama have already been shown and released, while the next four will be shown on September 12.

Although the film is R-rated, viewers already have some criticisms regarding the drama's excessive nudity. The most notable scenes are related to the performance of actress Jeong Yu-Mi, which are included in the 4th episode of the series.
Jeong Yu-mi was topless and semi-nude in a sex scene with another woman lasting 114 seconds.
On the other hand, a scene in which Ji Chang-Wook seduces maids numerous times is 203 seconds long.
The drama's director, Ben Ree, assured viewers that these scenes would strengthen the story. Jeong Yu Mi also speaks on this issue during a press conference.
"I felt burdened at the nudity at first, but now I believe that these scenes were necessary to maintain tension. I was also very excited to film it," she said.
At the end of the drama, it was revealed in the credits that Jung Yu-mi's character, Woo Soon, had a body double. This caused a lot of responses online. Some viewers liked how honest she was, while others didn't see the point of such explicit material.
