Jung Hae In was involved in a social media controversy after liking a direct message from a well-known AfreecaTV broadcast jockey (BJ), who had gained popularity through on-air stripping.
The broadcaster, Kim Ji Yeon, more popularly known as Yuhwa, shared a censored screenshot of a message she sent to the actor, expressing her affection for him.
Surprisingly, Jung Hae In's account name appeared in the notifications, and he later liked the forwarded message from Kim Ji Yeon, with a caption, "Starting a week with my fav bad guy.
Kim Ji Yeon mentioned that the actor had seen her text several hours later. He also liked her comment. All this caused several heated discussions on online platforms like Cafe Daum and Instiz.
On the other hand, some users defended Jung Hae In. "Is everyone serious about this? He's a grown man; he can interact with anyone he wants," said a user, while another replied that it is not good to interact with a woman with thousands of subscribers who used to post stripping videos.
"No," replied another.
"It will absolutely be red. I'll add this to the list of red signs. It doesn't matter who he is. An actor, a singer, or a worker at a library. Famous people cannot be shown mercy for their deeds."
Yuhwa, the BJ, has been noticeably absent from public appearances since 2021. While she still uses Instagram, she has significantly reduced her presence on other social networks.
A personal scandal led to a mass exodus of followers from the social network where she used to sell second-hand clothing. This has left half of her fans disappointed, while the other half believes that the issue is not worth discussing.
In 2022, she invited the finalists to her concert before congratulating the winner. Several months earlier, she liked the direct messages they sent her.
