Park Ji Ah, a prominent actress known for her role in the hit drama The Glory, has passed away at the age of 52. Her death was confirmed early this morning after suffering a cerebral infarction, commonly known as an ischemic stroke.
According to JTBC, the actress had been battling an undisclosed illness when she suffered the stroke, leaving her unconscious. Park Ji Ah was unable to recover and passed away early Friday at 2:50 a.m., her agency Billions confirmed in a statement to Sports Donga.
"We are heartbroken to announce that Park Ji Ah passed away today at the age of 52," Billions stated. "She suffered an ischemic stroke and never regained consciousness. The funeral will be held at the Asan Medical Center on October 2."
Late Park Ji Ah will always be remembered for her amicable role in the outstanding drama The Glory where she was well known for playing as the main character's mother who was starring Song Hye Kyo. The actress had a lengthy journey in the South Korean movie set where she had a significant positive impact on the vast number of people.
