Actress Hani from the K-pop group EXID and broadcaster psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong have chosen to delay their wedding, which was initially set for September. The announcement comes after events surrounding an incident at the mental hospital where Yang Jae Woong works as the director. 

Yang Jae Woong's management company, Mystic Story, announced on September 3 that the couple has jointly decided to postpone their wedding without setting a date yet.The agency mentioned that there has been no change in the bond between the two.Hani's agency, Sublime, refrained from providing any comments regarding the matter due to challenges in verifying specifics.

The couple's choice to delay their wedding came after receiving updates from 'Sports Trends' in the day regarding their mutual decision to postpone the ceremony indefinitely for undisclosed reasons tied to a recent unfortunate incident at a mental health facility in Bucheon located in Gyeonggi Province.

On May 27, at the said institution, a 33-year-old woman passed away after being admitted for seventeen days due to what's suspected to be a pseudo-intestinal obstruction leading to her death. She was undergoing treatment for an addiction to diet pills containing narcotics.

The grieving family expressed their disapproval of how the hospital handled the situation and responded publicly to bring attention to the matter.

As the situation escalated in severity, tension also rose between Yang Jae Woong and Hani due to increasing scrutiny and negative remarks, particularly aimed at Hani herself.

The ensuing backlash led Hani to voluntarily resign from her position on JTBC's entertainment show called Review Necut.

Moreover, the YouTube channel 'Yangbro ' managed by Yang Jae Woong alongside his brother Yang Jae Jin, has been temporarily suspended

Yang Jae Woong spoke about the investigation into the hospital incident and emphasized the importance of avoiding sensationalized or controversial news coverage during this sensitive time.

He reassured the public that he and the medical team are committed to cooperating with the investigation and upholding their duties based on legal and ethical standards in medicine.
