Although he was rumored to be a strong candidate in the casting for "Star Wars" Episode 7, actor Dominic Monaghan is practically stalking producer J.J. Abrams for a role in the latest installment of the epic series.

Via Monaghan's Twitter page, it was discovered that "The Lord of the Rings" actor was hounding the former "Lost" producer for a part in the upcoming "Star Wars."

Since Monaghan has insisted he attempted to reach out to Abrams only "less than 4000" by phone, the actor clearly wants to participate in the film that is predicted to be a huge success in 2015 or the decade. Hence the persistence of the former "Lost" star.

After a past interview at the "Lone Ranger" premiere, Monaghan gave off the implication that he was already involved with the "Star Wars" project.

"I can't answer that question," he replied when asked whether he'll appear in 'Star Wars VII'. "Ask J.J. Abrams - he'll know."

Since Abrams and Monaghan have already worked together in the "Lost" series, the director picking the thespian for "Star Wars" could be a strong possibility. Still, the casting process is under a lot of critical observation since it is the newest installment of "Star Wars."

Luckily for Monaghan, he has a great acting reputation after proving himself more than worthy with dynamic performances in "The Lord of the Rings."
