Actor Song Seung Heon recently told a nostalgic story about his middle school days on the MBC show "Radio Star."
He also sharedthat it was his childhood dream to marry popular singer Kang Susie, whom he declared on the first day of middle school that he wanted to marry.
"I went up to the front of the class and announced, 'My dream is to marry Kang Susie,'" Song said.
He further explained that he never actually sought a career in entertainment, the first time being a model for the clothing brand 'Storm' in 1995.
He became famous more suddenly than any other thread-inclined aspiring artist, but Song remained a top devotee of Kang Susie, viewing the concert through the clique of a middle school schoolgirl.
"I was so far away I couldn't get a decent picture, but I was just so happy to be there," he said.
To this day, Kang Susie has a place in Song's heart.
"He said he still has a great deal of love for her music, especially the song she helped him write, "Purple Fragrance," which still fascinates him.
During the show, fellow comedian Yoo Se-yoon joked about Kim Gook Jin having won over Kang Susie, while Song could not suppress his envy of Gook Jin's happy married life with the singer.
At 47 and still single, Song Seung Heon humorously recognized his competition.
Song also released a film, "Hidden Face," co-starring Jo Yeo Jeong and Park Ji Hyun, which has received favorable reviews since its release.
Based on the Colombian film of the same name, the movie has drawn interest in the romantic journey of Song's character.
