Dating rumors have surrounded When the Phone Rings actors Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin after witnesses claimed to have seen both of them leaving the 2024 MBC Drama Awards venue together.
Due to a nationwide day of mourning, the awards ceremony, broadcast Jan. 5, 2025, was pre-taped on Dec. 30, 2024.
They took home the Best Couple Award for the popular drama, where they won the hearts of the public with their chemistry.
The event was attended by Yoo and he caught the eye of onlookers for his thoughtfulness.
He then waited for Chae, who was co-hosting the ceremony, to come to the stage after their win was announced.
As she got closer to him, he reached out, and the two posed for the trophy and a flower bouquet.

Aljib Channel on Youtube reported that after the ceremony, photos that have been circulating online show the two actors allegedly leaving together, sharing a close distance.
Whatever the nature of the images, just seeing them has sparked speculation surrounding their romance.
The actors' fans were quick to rave about their chemistry online, both as characters and at the awards show.
Many hoped that the on-screen love story of the pair would transition into reality.
"I am happy that people enjoy watching our chemistry," Yoo said in an interview with Sports Chosun.
"For once, they got lost in the notion of 'the great love story' and the fact that we seemed like destiny."
In December 2024, MBC held its annual Drama Awards, where "When the Phone Rings" won several awards, defining it as the most lauded series of 2024.
