According toAllKpop, the sighting comes as the now-convicted singer has a lavish lifestyle, which consistently outrages fans and detractors following his involvement in the career-defining Burning Sun scandal.

Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, was implicated in the 2018 Burning Sun scandal, which resulted in his expulsion from the global supergroup BIGBANG and the entertainment industry.

The Supreme Court of South Korea gave him a probation of one year and six months in prison in 2022 for habitual gambling, prostitution mediation, foreign exchange violations, and embezzlement, among others. He was released from the Yeoju Prison in February 2023.

Since getting out, Seungri has been seen numerous times partying in nightclubs all over Southeast Asia, including Cambodia and Malaysia. The media has condemned his recent appearance on Twitch China.

Reports from Sohu.com and other Chinese media outlets indicated that Seungri's arrival at the nightclub generated a stir among onlookers.

"Despite being convicted of multiple crimes, including prostitution and gambling, Seungri entered a Hangzhou nightclub with a heavy security presence," local reports stated. "His arrival caused a stir, with many watching as he passed through the crowd with his head down."

Chinese media outlets have labeled Seungri a "persona non grata," criticizing his public activities as a blatant challenge to societal morals.

One report stated, "Seungri's actions are a direct provocation against Chinese law and ethics." It further emphasized that his crimes severely impacted the entertainment industry and public sentiment in South Korea.

Concerns have also been raised about his fans' loyalty. "Despite his notorious reputation, some Chinese fans continue to support him," the report noted.

"This blind admiration raises concerns about the moral values of Chinese society and could have a negative impact on public ethics. We must not tolerate or support the comeback of corrupt artists who seek to profit from their past misdeeds."

Comments started spreading across Chinese cyberspace as images and videos of Seungri clubbing inside China emerged online.

As one user put it, "Why is someone like him allowed to come to China?" Another said, "No foreign criminals, this enters the country. "He even arrived here with bodyguards?" Unbelievable."
