Vin Diesel has posted a moving tribute to Paul Walker on his official Facebook page. The Fast & Furious star has been distraught since Walker passed away in a car accident last November. Diesel has been posting photos in his Twitter and Facebook, calling his fallen comrade "brother" and even talking about "the complexities of Brotherhood, and the painful void... of it's (sic) absence." One of his first tweets after hearing of Walker's death said "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. RIP."
Now he has posted an 18.5-minute video montage of him and Walker throughout their time together on The Fast and the Furious movie franchise. It was captioned, "A glimpse... of Dom and Brian... off screen" in reference to their film characters, Dominic Torreto (Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Walker). The comprehensive video shows the movie stars on interviews, at premieres, and doing promos for the movies. There were behind-the-scenes shots from filming, as well as footage with the other Fast & Furious cast members during their press rounds. The mini-movie mainly showed Diesel and Walker goofing off with each other, laughing and joking.
As of this story's publication, Diesel's video has gotten over one million likes and more than 100,000 shares. Fans have been posting grateful comments, with most thanking Diesel for the tribute. One comment said, "What an awesome tribute for Paul Walker. Thank you Vin for taking the time to put this video together and sharing yours and Paul's moments together. He will be deeply missed," while another just said, "Beautiful tribute..he'll always b remembered." Others expressed sorrow over Walker's death, with one fan saying, "It sucks that he's gone now, he seemed like a very cool guy."
The two will be seen onscreen again however when Fast & Furious 7 hits theaters next year. Director James Wan and production company Universal have recently announced that Walker's death won't affect the movie. His character will be retired in a way that he will somehow have a happy ending. The production team had to delay the movie showing by eight months, but will be making use of existing footage of Walker and adding new scenes to make the story work. The film is now slated for an April 10, 2015 release.
