Kelly Osbourne's engagement to Matthew Mosshart has been called off, and now the E! Fashion Police host has spoken up about the break up. In an interview with her co-host, Giuliana Rancic on E!, Osbourne talked about how her split with vegan chef Mosshart was simply free of drama.
"I'm really honestly not gonna go into it. You would know if I was... if it was a bad thing. You know me. It was a mutual decision. We love each other very much. It just wasn't the right time for us, and I think that if we weren't as mature and adult than we are, then we could have gone down a road that got you know, not very nice," the style maven said.
She continued, "We're still really, really good friends; it's just we're not living in the same house. That's it, really. There's no dramatic story. I wish there was so I could have something to tell people, but no. It just happens in life, and we love each other very much, it's just timing. Bad timing."
This comes shortly after the fashion diva and wiry vegan released a statement on the break up through Osbourne's representative. It said, "Kelly Osbourne and Matthew Mosshart have decided to end their engagement. The split is amicable and the pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another. Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings. No further comments will be provided by all parties and we request privacy, decorum and space from the press but don't expect it."
This explains why Osbourne, who is very outspoken and active on social media, has not posted a word about her failed relationship. Just one tweet hinted at what was going on behind-the-scenes, and it didn't say anything definitive. It stated, "Its all about perception sometimes the bad things that happen in life aren't really bad at all especially when you learn something from it!"
The purple-haired star and the long-haired chef met in the summer of 2011 at supermodel Kate Moss' wedding. They started dating in December of that year and officially got engaged in July 2013.
