Broken Leg

Here's some Anderson Silva news for you. In a recent interview, the former champ said that he wants to return to the octagon and when he does so, you can be sure he's 100% healthy!

In a recent report, Anderson Silva was visited by UFC executives Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White at his house in Redondo Beach, California, where "The Spider" has been resting ever since his fight at UFC 168 and he suffered broken leg. Both Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta were reportedly very encouraged by the progress that Anderson Silva has made to this point.

Now in a recent interview with Brazilian website oglobo sports, Anderson Silva said he wants to be back to the octagon at 100% health.

"I gotta get back, I have to be 100% to show people that I could get over it one more time"

Anderson Silva had some fears about his broken leg though.

"I'm afraid of not being able to put load on my leg again. It may be that the doctor say "look, you can go back." But he may say no, and I need to prepare for that too. I am confident that I will fight again soon, I have no intention of stopping this, but just who will be able to say that, after seeing how my recovery is, is the doctor."

When asked about whether he still feels pain in his legs, Anderson Silva said that his legs hurt so much that sometimes he wakes up at night screaming in pain.

"It's been an unbearable thing. I scream in pain and I wake up. Since I left the hospital I cannot sleep a full night. It is quite difficult because the pain is constant."

However 'The Spider' feels hopeful that he still has something to offer.

"When do you feel the need to stop, your body talk, your mind says, 'This is the time'. I think I have more to do"

With regards to the Weidman fight, Anderson had this to say "I believe that, if you pay attention to these technical details, you will see that (checking the kick) was instinct, not something that he trained to do."

"No, I don't think (Weidman should consider it a win). It was an accident. And I'm pretty sure I would have won the fight." Anderson Silva was quoted saying in a report by Pedro Carrasco of BJPenn.com
