We've just finished going over the specs of Apple's 2 new launches at the end of the year - the iPhone 5S, 5c. And the China Mobile contract with Apple last week was a touted event for CEO Tim Cook and others at the Redmond, Seattle-based firm.

But now, consumers are getting restless for a new products since we are well into the new year.

Unlike Apple's conventional releases, 2014 is expected to see two new phones. These will be unveiled at some point this year, but it really is not too early to discuss specs, since much of the speculated features has already been published on the Net.

Analysts say that while the new iPhone is labeled just iPhone 6 for now, the actual name might be something like "iPhone Air."

Everyone has been waiting for larger screens and Apple's new screen is going to be a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model. This version could go into production as early as May, since Apple may be riding on the success of its previous launch. It's also a marketing strategy to deliver hot products while the product is still hot. The 5.7" display version will be launched later in the year, reports BGT.

Reports of the two new phones emerged in a Chinese news publication, Tencent. Those who were looking for better resolution are going to be disappointed since the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will not carry an enhanced display. This could be because Apple is working on releasing a phone in a limited amount of time, while concentrating on the most liked features of previous iPhones.

DisplaySearch Taiwan reported that the 4.7 phone would provide a 1280x720 resolution (HD).

How about the camera? The iPhone 6 will be equipped with an 8-megapixel camera, optical image stabilization, and a F1.8 lens. The iPhone in the works is supposed to be slim but heavy in comparison to previous models.

Apple's larger model, the 5.7" will sport biometric features like Touch ID, fingerprint scanner already present on the flagship model iPhone 5s.
