It looks like Sony is standing tall in this PS4 Vs Xbox One battle as experts say that the PS4 will dominate this entire generation due to comparatively weaker hardware of the Xbox One.
When it comes to hardware performance and specs, a console is only as good as its parts. If a console doesn't have enough power in its components, we'll see the limits of its capabilities early on. This is what experts believes to be the case for the Xbox One.
User "Thuway" or Ahsan Rasheed, took to Twitter to make a few more statements based on information he's received from people working directly with the Xbox One and Ps4 hardware. Ahsan Rasheed said on twitter:
"Xbox One will be behind all generation, and not by some small trivial margin. It will be enough to show up distinctly in exclusives."
"The PS4 has more left in the tank that will start showing up going forward. It was designed with more forward thinking hardware choices."
This isn't a surprise though if you are following all the recent PS4 vs Xbox One comparisons of games. All of the direct game comparisons show that the PS4 is pushing nearly double the pixel rate or double the frame-rate over the Xbox One, from games such as Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, we're constantly seeing the PS4 beat the Xbox One in performance and that's huge because the PS4 is more powerful despite being cheaper in price compared to the Xbox One.
According to Rasheed, a Call of Duty: Ghosts coder also told him that Infinity Ward asked Microsoft to use an off-limits portion of the Xbox One GPU (allegedly amounting to 8% of the whole power of the graphical hardware of the console, and the use of which should be granted to developers soon) but Microsoft refused."
This tidbit was revealed way back during the "Resolution-gate" scandal.
For the uninitiated the "resolution-gate" is the lie that says there is no difference between gaming in 1080p and 720p. You can include gaming in 30 fps and 60 fps in there as well.
The freeing up of resources will also be accompanied by a speed-up of the OS as well. This will be included in a patch later on.
What do you think? Are people exaggerating the power of the PS4's hardware over the Xbox One? Will developers support PS4 because it is the more powerful hardware and it is the highest selling next-gen console right now? Should Microsoft push Kinect more as it is their unique trait over the PS4? We will know these stuff as the year goes.
