For those who have played Persona 4 or Persona 4: Golden on both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Vita, remember the first place the Protagonist appears in the game, Yasoinaba train station on the countryside of Inaba? Good news: it's real. Bad news: it's getting closed down.
The station's name is Isawa Onsen Station and is located in Yamanashi Prefecture. Unfortunately the station has involuntarily become a gaming landmark and will welcome its last train on February 6th. Completed in 1936, it survived World War II and will be closed after 78 years of honored service.
Game website Kotaku.com has posted several pictures and made a comparison of the real place and the game as seen below.
