Looks like Peter Parker's life as Spider-Man will become more complicated as he weaves a web of trouble in the upcoming sequel 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'.
A couple of trailers were shown during this year's annual Super Bowl XLVIII, which showcases three notorious villains in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'.
The first trailer was shown last Friday January 31 and picking-up were it left-off is the second spot and a new full-length during Super Bowl.
Everyone is familiar with Andrew Garfield as Spidey and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy along with Sally Field as Aunt May. Let's now look at the villains.
The first is the primary antagonist Electro, real name Max Dillon (played by Jamie Foxx; Django: Unchained) is an electrical engineer turned villain who has the power to absorb and manipulate electricity. In the comics, the original Electro gained his powers when he was struck by lightning while another version of the Ultimate Marvel universe gained his from bioengineering. In the film's trailers it looked like it closely resembled the ultimate version but with a twist since he fell down a tank filled with electric eels explaining how he got his powers.
The second is Rhino, real name Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich (played by:Paul Giamatti; 12 Years a Slave) is a Russian crook wearing an armoured suit that resembles a rhinoceros. Apparently in the film it is a combination of both original and ultimate versions were in the rhino suit is robotic.
The last one comes in no surprise, Harry Osborn (played by Dane DeHaan; Chronicle) the second Green Goblin. James Franco was the first to be recognized as Harry during his run in the first Spidey film trilogy, so how will DeHaan tackle the role. So far he has been featured in the teaser poster and trailer wearing a the Goblin costume but it's unconfirmed if he's the "sole goblin" of the film series.
Marvel fans be ready as the film is scheduled to be release at May 2, 2014.
