Survival Horror fans, ready your wallets because the latest survival horror game "The Evil Within" release date has been confirmed!
The latest survival horror game from the survival horror master himself Shinji Mikami, "The Evil Within" will be released this December 2014 according to Amazon.
Just as "The Evil Within" release date listing was made, a new trailer for the Japanese version of "The Evil Within" called "Psycho Break" was released on the Playstation Japan Youtube page.
Aside from the new trailer, there are some gameplay videos released for the "The Evil Within" and from what can be seen in the videos, the game will be pretty nerve-wracking.
Announced last April 2013, "The Evil Within" or "Psycho Break" in Japan was met with huge reception from the fans when it was revealed that the creator of "The Evil Within" was none other than Shinji Mikami, the brains behind the huge hit series "Resident Evil". He was the brains behind the development of "Resident Evil" 1, 2, 3, 4, Code Veronica, REmake, and Zero. He was also the creator of the classic Playstation game "Dino Crisis". Due to Shinji Mikami's past works, fans are very optimistic about "The Evil Within". Some fans are even calling "The Evil Within" as the return of survival horror.
The plot of "The Evil Within" according to Bethesda Softworks is that "When Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his partners, Joseph Oda and Julie "Kid" Kidman, rush to the scene of a gruesome mass murder, a mysterious, powerful force is lying in wait for them. Witnessing the killing of fellow police officers one after another, Sebastian is then attacked and loses consciousness. Waking up in a land where monsters are wandering about, he has to fight his way through a world of death and his close friend's madness in order to understand what's going on. Sebastian has to face his fears in order to survive on a journey to discover what lies in the shadows of that mysterious force"
"The Evil Within" is being developed by Japanese studio Tango Gameworks and the game will be published by Bethesda Softworks.
"The Evil Within" will be released on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on December 2014.
