For all car enthusiasts out there, it looks like Paul Walker's famous Nissan Skyline is up for sale.
Paul Walker's Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 that he drove in the 2009 Fast & Furious film has been put up for sale by GTA International. It is being sold at €1 million euro which is equivalent to about $1.35 million US dollars at the current exchange rates. The proceeds and benefits for Paul Walker's Nissan Skyline will be given off to charity.
But for that, you get a six-cylinder, 2.6 liter motor with dual overhead cams, all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering and other goodies. It also comes with a copy of the Universal Pictures' rental contract for the car, which has a mere 6,000 kilometers on it.
The sale will benefit Paul's Reach Out Worldwide charity, with 50 percent of the proceeds will be given to the organization.
The Nissan Skyline became synonymous to Paul Walker as it became the signature car for his character Brian O'Conner in The Fast and The Furious franchise. The 90s-vintage, Japan-only Nissan Skyline GT-Rs became sought-after rides in the United States not just because of their 500-hp twin-turbo performance, but because they were illegal to import under federal auto safety and emissions rules.
To get around that prohibition for the filming of "Fast & Furious," importer Kaizo Industries bought eight chassis without engines in Japan, shipped them to the United States under rules for kit cars, and installed proper engines in this country. Only one that Paul drove survived filming without being wrecked or torn up, the builders told Import Tuner magazine in 2009.
'The Fast and The Furious' star died at the age of 40 in 2013 when the Porsche he was a passenger in crashed in Valencia, California killing both the him and the car's driver, business partner and friend Roger Rodas. Paul Walker had been at a charity event before the accident.
