There have been so many new updates on the "Flash" TV series this 2014 and we will cover all them here!

The most basic thing you guys need to know is that if you aren't watching "Arrow" then you have missed the debut of Grant Gustin as Barry Allen but he doesn't have the "Flash" powers yet and he is still in a coma. Barry Allen is presumably going to wake on the "Arrow" Season 2 finale or on the pilot episode of the "Flash" TV series.

The first season of the "Flash" TV series will focus on him discovering how his powers work (Flash facts anyone?) and he will dwell on finding out the mystery of his mother's death.

The main villain of the "Flash" TV series is none other than Professor Zoom himself! They have cast Rick Cosnett to play Eddie Thawne (Professor Zoom is name Eobard Thawne in the comics). In the "Flash" TV series, Thawne and Allen will work on the Central City police department.

Detective West and Iris West have been cast as well. Detective West will be played by Jesse Martin and Iris West will be played by Candace Patton. Iris West will be the love interest of Barry Allen and Grant Gustin even teased about their romance on his twitter account.

Danielle Panabaker has been cast as the villain, "Killer Frost". Carlos Valdes has been cast as Francisco "Cisco" Ramon aka "Vibe"

It has been said as well that the "Flash" TV series will be more sci-fi than action compared to "Arrow"

The "Flash" TV series has begun production. Grant Gustin even posted a photo of the script on his Instagram account.

The "Flash" TV series is planned to have a Fall 2014 release date but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Some "Arrow" characters will appear on the "Flash" TV series, fans expect Felicity Smoak to appear on the show briefly but it has been reported that villains in "Arrow" won't appear on the new "Flash" TV series as the "Flash" TV series will introduce its own set of villains.
