UFC 170: Evans VS Cormier has been cancelled after Evans was forced to withdraw due to a leg injury. However Chael Sonnen is out to save the day is he offers to replace Evans and challenges Daniel Cormier at UFC 170!

UFC officials announced the news on Wednesday night, revealing that the Feb. 22 card will move forward with 10 bouts. UFC 170 takes place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and is headlined by a women's bantamweight title collision between reigning champion Ronda Rousey and fellow Olympian Sara McMann.

The UFC confirmed this by posting on their official website, "A leg injury has forced former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans out of his UFC 170 co-main event bout with Daniel Cormier on February 22 in Las Vegas.

With the event date rapidly approaching, there will be no replacement fight, and the card - headlined by the UFC women's bantamweight championship match between Ronda Rousey and Sara McMann - will continue with 10 bouts."

In an effort to save the card, fan favorite Chael Sonnen tweeted that he is ready to step in as a replacement he challenged Daniel Cormier to a fight at UFC 170!

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Daniel Cormier responded to Chael Sonnen's challenge and wished the UFC would take back their announcement allow him to fight on the UFC 170 card.

"I'm hoping I can get someone to fight. There's somebody out there that wants to step up to take a fight at this moment. I saw on Twitter that Chael wants to fight. Ok, let Chael fight. Anthony Johnson fought a couple of weeks ago, he's still in shape. Let him fight. Or if there's a heavyweight. I'll fight at heavyweight. There's somebody out there. I don't want this work to be for nothing. I've killed myself in this gym. I've spent ten weeks away from my family. I haven't seen my girlfriend and kids because I've been training so hard... I'd fight Chael in a heartbeat. I 'd fight Anthony Johnson in a heartbeat. I'd fight any of those guys. There's somebody out there who wants to fight. Line 'em up. Then Rashad and I will fight later and that won't bother me. I just want to fight now. I just don't want this work to be for nothing. There's somebody out there that wants to fight."
