As the hit drama "You Who Came From The Stars" gets closer to its final episode, there are plenty of rumors about how love story might end.
Will Kim Soo Hyun's character say goodbye to Jun Ji Hyun's character and return to his star? Or will he stay on earth for the short and bittersweet time he has left? Some rumors even say she will die and he will leave earth only to return 400 years later when she is reincarnated. That's similar to the ending to that of the drama "Gu Family Book," and while that could be satisfying, it is a long time for the lovers to wait.
Netizens are hoping for a happy ending no matter how the writers spin it, but prefer a happy ending in this lifetime.
With expectations building, the drama achieved ratings of 27.4 percent for its first episode this week. That's 0.4 percent higher than the last episode and the highest ratings since the drama began. There was lots of focus on the love story, but also more of the tension between the two brothers, played by Park Hae Jin and Shin Sung Rok, with an appearance by Yeon Woo Jin, playing the brother who died. This week, Chun Song Yi's brother also learns about his sister's neighbor's alien powers.
In a related note, Kim Soo Hyun's contribution to the drama OST, titled "In Front of Your House," topped ten music charts when it was released this week.
The next television best ratings went to a special report on skater Kim Yuna, who recently excelled at the Sochi Olympics. An SBS program recorded 12.2 percent of the ratings. MBC rated 9.6 percent and KBS 7.0 percent for the Figure Skating Women's Single Short Program.
Following that was the KBS drama "Inspiring Generation," which stars Kim Hyun Joong. That drama earned 10.3 percent of the rating and saw a reunion between Kim Hyun Joong's character and his childhood friend after a separation of five years.
In third place was "Miss Korea," earning 7.0 percent of the ratings. Its main characters had to find ways to deal with their respective successes and failures. Lee Sun Kyun had to face the failure of his factory and Lee Yeon Hee had to deal with all the implications of her successful bid for the "Miss Korea title.
Because of the Olympics, two variety shows, the SBS show "Couples" and the MBC program "Radio Star," were cancelled.
Only a few more episodes of "You Who Came From The Stars" left to go. How are you hoping that it will end?
