True believers, did somebody say "spoiler alert?" Spidey fans will now have a good look at Dane DeHaan as the Green Goblin in the new Spider-man movie.
A full photo of Dane DeHaan as the Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has just been revealed, proving how strong and crazy he is against Spidey. But will this confrontation result in a possible foreshadowing of Gwen Stacy's death?
The whole photo shows Dane DeHaan as Harry Obsborn a.k.a. The Green Goblin squaring-off against Spider-Man inside what appears to be a clock tower;he is overpowering him, choking Spider-Man by the throat and enjoying it. This gives us an impression that DeHaan's character is no pushover but a looming factor still remains: will Emma Stone's character die in this fight?
If you remember your Spider-Man comics, Gwen Stacy dies at the hands of the Green Goblin by dropping her on to a bridge, dying in mid-fall just as Spidey's about to catch her. Although in the comics it was Norman Osborn, Harry's father who did the deed. Director Marc Webb made it clear that they will follow through the process of Stacy's death. The only question is, will this happen in film?
So far we've seen DeHaan as Harry Osborn in the trailers and posters in the film but not in full costume as Green Goblin. Although we've seen the clip in the trailers and a glimpse of him in the posters, but it's simply not enough to know what Harry looks like in full goblin gear, until now.
Harry Osborn in the film is Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) former childhood friend turned enemy and is one of the three villains alongside Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti).
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will theatres May 2 , 2014.
