There is now a new reason to watch Idina Menzel perform at the Oscars as she has just revealed that she will sing a new arrangement of "Let it go" at the Academy Awards!
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Elsa herself Idina Menzel says that she and her singing coach is working on a new arrangement of the song "Let it go".
"We have to come up with an arrangement of the song. I'm just working on the song with my teacher, because it's not the kind of song you can wake up and roll out of bed and sing," she says. "It's a challenging song and quite acrobatic, so I have to be in my best voice."
Idina Menzel added that she really wants to meet U2's frontman Bono, who will also be performing at the Oscars. "I'm just hoping my soundcheck is back to back with Bono's soundcheck, because I've never met him in my life and it's like a dream for me to meet him."
The actress, who voices Elsa in the Disney animated musical, also discussed why the film has been so successful worldwide. "More than even my character, the idea that it's not about true love being the answer - it's not about a man or a kiss or a perfect Prince Charming being the answer," she explained. "It's about family and a bond between two sisters. That's why I think people are really gravitating to the film."
"Frozen" has been in theaters since November and continues to perform strongly at the box office.
