Iggy Azalea, the up and coming Australian rapper, made a shot-for-shot homage to the classic 1990s teen movie Clueless, for her new music video "Fancy," off of Azalea's upcoming debut album The New Classic. The video has already garnered significant attention from the internet for its fastidious attention to detail in costuming. Azalea cast herself in the lead role of Cher Horowitz, and English singer Charli XCX plays the the supporting role as Brittany Murphy's Tai Frasier. Azalea, as Cher, wears multiple costumes that appeared in the original Clueless in 1995, including the famous yellow tartan skirt suit. The rapper is a fitting doppelganger for the main character with her long blonde locks and perky personality. According to Spin Magazine, the Director X-helmed music video was filmed at the same school used for the original Clueless and the huge supporting cast wore the costumes that were hip almost two decades ago.

The single follows hot on the heels of prior Azalea singles "Work," "Bounce" and "Change Your Life" which features rapper T.I. Azalea has released previously unique, attention grabbing music videos, such as with "Bounce," which had a Bollywood-theme and "Change Your Life" in which Azalea played a topless showgirl in Las Vegas. The "Fancy" video follows Iggy walking around the school halls with Charli XCX (Tai) as she raps "I'm still in the Murda Bizness, I can hold you down, like I'm givin' lessons in physics." The video also features a high school party, the chatty lunch scenes, as well as the memorable scene where Dionne and Murray argue in DIonne's BMW when they get off the freeway.

Azalea tweeted in reference to the "Fancy" music video: "In other news I saw RuPaul today and he told me he liked my wig in fancy and that I'm a great drag queen. Then I died. I am dead now."

Iggy Azalea was the first female and non-American rapper, to be featured on XXL magazine's 2012 annual Top 10 Freshman cover. Azalea's debut studio album The New Classic is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2014, under the labels Virgin EMI and Island Def Jam.
