Pixar Movies 2014: No New Film! ‘The Good Dinosaur’ And ‘Inside And Out’ Hit Theaters on 2015! Catmull Says, ‘Nobody Ever Remembers That You Slipped A Film’

After the "Monsters University" hit the theaters back in 2013, people have been excited to find out about the new Pixar movies in 2014. But fans of the digital animation company will be disappointed once they find out that there will be no new film this year.

That's right! Our children will have nothing to look forward to the following months because of the slip up. Just when we thought that "The Good Dinosaur" will be released on May 2014, Walt Disney Company decided to move the release date on November 2015.

That slot was reserved for the sequel of "Finding Nemo" called "Finding Dory". But fans of the absent-minded fish will now have to wait until 2016 to see their favorite character come to life on the big screen.

So what caused the delay of "The Good Dinosaur"? The reason was creative delays because the producers have to replace the director of this animated film. Bob Peterson, who had worked with "Up" before, was sacked by Pixar. The name of the new director hasn't been revealed yet.

In an interview with Los Angeles Times, Pixar president Ed Catmull clearly stated that the company's main concern is the quality of the film and not the date of the release. He said, "Nobody ever remembers the fact that you slipped a film, but they will remember a bad film." Catmull added, "Our conclusion was that we were going to give the [dinosaur] film some more time."

This isn't the first time that Pixar has shuffled their creative talents and made major changes in their movies. In the past, the story of "Ratatouille" was revised and the director of "Brave" was replaced.

Since there are no new Pixar movies in 2014, what can we expect on 2015? Aside from "The Good Dinosaur", viewers will get a chance to see what's happening in the brain of a teenage girl in "Inside and Out". The animated film will be released on June 2015. That's going to be a back-to-back Pixar movie treat for all of us.

How do you feel about having no Pixar movies in 2014?
