A Commercial for Kellog's new web-slinging game accidentally revealed one major spoiler in the upcoming superhero film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Comic-book legend and the creator of Spider-Man, Stan Lee, was the one who narrated the film and the video. The video began with Stan Lee describing Oscorp Industries as 'a multibillion-dollar corporation founded by Norman Osborn, recently inherited by his only son, Harry'.

The behind-the-scenes-video also revealed that Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) has died. This was declared by a news anchor and immediately caught Peter Parker's attention. With that breaking news, this allowed his son Harry (Dane DeHaan) to take over the family business.

In an interview with Moviefone, Chris Cooper actually hinted at Norman's death.

He said: 'All I can is this is a very strange introduction for Norman Osborn. I just can't reveal why it's that way, but this is not the beginning of Norman.

'It is the introduction, but it's not the beginning, and I think that's as far as I can go.'

Ever since the teaser trailer for the movie was released, fans have speculated that the one who might actually die is Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) love interest, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone).

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Emma Stone teased the audience and left them thinking if this will be the last time she will appear in a Spider-man movie.

"I think the intention the whole time has been to tell Gwen's story as closely to the comic as possible. That's been the director's idea and the studio's idea. We'll see if that comes to fruition."

The film will also star Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro and Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich / The Rhino, two of Spider-man's archenemies.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release in UK cinemas on April 18.
