Chris Pine, 33, was arrested for drunk driving in New Zealand, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actor best known for playing Captain Kirk on the most recent "Star Trek" movie was stopped for driving under the influence on March 1. Pine was driving after attending a wrap party at a Methven bar for "Z for Zachariah." He was charged with a DUI. Pine has been in New Zealand filming his upcoming movie "Z for Zachariah," which will be released next year. Much of the filming took place on the South Island's picturesque Banks Peninsula.

Casey Crawford, manager of the Blue Pub, where the wrap party was held, states, ""Chris Pine arrived here and had his girlfriend [Iris Bjork Johannesdottir] with him and he spent most of his time with her - she flew in that day someone told me." The bar manager reports that Pine was drinking beer and did not appear intoxicated when he left around 2:30 a.m.

New Zealand Police said in a statement that a 33-year-old American was charged in the early hours of March 1 with a DUI; Pine's blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit, which is .08 in New Zealand.

Pine is scheduled to make his first court appearance at Ashburton district court on Monday (March 17) for the drunk driving charge.
