Paul Walker Update On Crash: Millions grieved over the death of late Fast and Furious Star Paul Walker last November 30, 2013. He died when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend Roger Rodas, 38, collided with a lamp post.
Reports say that an unidentified man has put up the sunglasses Walker was seen wearing before the tragic accident on the website BidAMI.com, the consigner is also auctioning off fire extinguisher and an item he prefers calling "debris", probably from the Santa Clarita crash site.
According to usmagazine.com, the auction items come with a thorough description of the bystander's reminiscence from the night of Nov. 30, when he was purportedly located close where the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT had crashed.
"Once the site investigation was cleared with car debris hauled away and tape taken down, a responding officer allowed him as well as others back to the public site," the site reads. "The only thing left was a charred ivy brush, minor residual debris, a knocked down pole and tree. As the consigner walked the scene in disbelief and grief, he found a pair of sunglasses nearby in the ivy. After showing one of the officers, he was waved off."
The unnamed man came to this realization when he saw photos of Walker wearing the sunglasses he was able to retrieve within the crash site. The auction site provided photos of the sunglasses still covered in dirt. Right before his death, Walker was attending a charity event for his non-profit organization; Reach Out Worldwide where they are raising funds for the victims of typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines.
"These auction items are offered with the acknowledgement of Paul Walker's immeasurable charitable contributions," the site reads in what seems to be an attempt to deflect criticism of the rather tasteless sale. "A portion of the proceeds will benefit savethemustangs.org one of the main charities BidAMI partners with."
Upon hearing the news, fans worldwide are enraged and expressed their emotions online, calling the act sick, wrong, and done in poor taste.
As of 1:20 p.m. ET the items only had four bids with the highest bid at $1,572.
