Lady Gaga News 2014: The singer got puked on while performing her song "Swine" on the Doritos BoldStage at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin on Thursday, March 13. ABC News reported that it was a messy performance with Millie Brown, a "vomit painter," who forced herself to throw up neon green liquid over a drum-playing Gaga. The "Born This Way" singer was also covered in black liquid that stained her skin as seemingly motion-sickness-stricken Millie continued her performance art, spilling black liquid all over Lady Gaga's torso.
"I've known Millie for I think like five years now and we've actually collaborated before...she was just in town and so we thought we would collaborate again," the singer told the audience.
"It was just exciting to see people talk about performance art on the internet. We really just did it because we believe in the performance and we believe in what it meant to the song," she added.
According to E! News, aside from being startled by Millie and Gaga's collaboration, many are wondering if the "Applause" singer was glorifying bulimia.
The 27-year-old songstress has spoken publically about her brawls with eating disorders in the past, including bulimia and anorexia since she was a teenager.
As cited in the news, in 2012 she posted a revealing photo of herself wearing only a bra and underwear on LittleMonsters.com.
She tweeted to her fans to "join A BODY REVOLUTION," and captioned the photo "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15."
And just last month she opened up in Harper's Bazaar about how she's since overcome her body image issues.
The singer admitted, "I am better with food. I don't have an eating disorder anymore."
The singer is also known for her distinctive styles from wearing a dress made of raw beef to wearing outfits made of coffee filter.
ABC News reported that she wore the ensemble on Thursday's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," ahead of her performance at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. When asked about her ensemble, the singer told Kimmel, "I am recycling. "You can do anything with your crazy ideas if you put your mind to it."
