Surfer freaks can't wait to see the Point Break remake in 2015, which will star Gerard Butler as Bodhi. That character was played by Patrick Swayze in the original film that was released back in 1991. That was probably one of the best surfing films of all time, but people now are asking if Keanu Reeves will return in the remake.

Unfortunately, Reeves reportedly has no intention of appearing in the film. His character Johnny Utah will be played by Aussie heartthrob Luke Bracey. The newcomer has already appeared in films like Home and Away and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Now that we all know that the Matrix star won't return in the film, the main focus now is on the 300 actor. Gerard Butler has been making a name for himself in Hollywood and is all set to star in the big budget film Gods of Egypt by Alex Proyas.

In an interview with news.com.au, the Scottish actor revealed that the action sequences in the Point Break remake are so difficult, even professional stuntmen won't cut it. Butler said, "They are going to use the best of the best."

According to reports, Garrett McNamara is included on the payroll of stuntmen. The American professional big wave surfer holds the Guinness World Record for the largest wave ever surfed. McNamara broke the record by riding a 78-foot tall break off the Portugal coast last November.

Also included in the list of stuntmen is BASE-jumper Jeb Corliss, who is known for jumping off the Eiffel Tower. Butler is also a thrill-seeker himself, but he almost drowned while shooting for Changing Maverick back in 2011.

While preparing for a six-month shoot for the Point Break remake, the actor knows when to call it quits. Butler said, "I don't know yet whether I will be jumping out of aeroplanes. I want to. I would love to." He continued, "But BASE jumping, I don't think they will let me do. And squirrelling (landing from a wingsuit flight without deploying a parachute for the uninitiated) - that's probably a bit much."

The 44-year old actor admitted, "I am not even pretending that I will come close to any of those things, but you still have to be au fait with hanging off a mountain and hanging around big waves."

Let's see if Gerard Butler and the other cast of Point Break remake will surpass all the death-defying surfing stunts showed in the 1991 film.
