Jupiter Ascending Movie: Andy and Lana Wachowski will look to add another accomplishment to their directing career as they are set to produce another science fiction film, titled 'Jupiter Ascending'. After their breakthrough sci-fi action thriller The Matrix, The Wachoskis began to struggle to live up to the hype since the Matrix Trilogy.

Their previous film releases like the 2008 live-action cartoon Speed Racer and aspiring 2012 epic Cloud Atlas, co-directed with Tom Tykwer, did not attract much attention. Neither film was able to live up to the success of their Keanu Reeves led film franchise. This time around, a sci-fi epic titled Jupiter Ascending could be their way back to the limelight.

As a start, the film will star Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street, Magic Mike) and Mila Kunis (Black Swan, Ted), who in their own rights, have a huge amount of fan base. Also, the new trailer (see below) shows breathtaking animation effects and action scenes that can possible tap the curiosity of moviegoers.

The latest trailer revealed too little information about the plot. But knowing the complex style of The Wachowskis, which requires viewers to pay close attention to details, gives extra reason for critical movie viewers to go check the film out.

Originally from a book written by The Wachowskis, the plot is set in the future where gods rule over humans, Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) is a Russian immigrant who cleans toilets for a living. One day, she is saved by Caine (Channing Tatum), an interplanetary warrior whom the Queen of the Universe sent to kill Jupiter. Caine tells Jupiter that the stars were pointing to an extraordinary event on the night she was born, and that her DNA could mark her as the universe's next leader.

The film is set to release this July 18, 2014.
