One of the latest X-Men Days of Future Past rumors that had many Storm fans react was about Halle Berry getting cut off in the new film. Based on a report published by the NY Daily News, it says there that Storm, who appeared in three X-Men film installments, has been almost entirely cut from the upcoming sequel due to her pregnancy. The production and filming has had to go around Berry's growing baby bump that's why they had to trim away her role to almost being non-existent.
A source told NY Daily News that the character of the 47-year old actress in X-Men was cut out of every scene but one in post-production. The insider said, "She only has one line in the whole movie." The source revealed, "They're not telling her until the movie comes out."
Fans of the weather-controlling mutant were shocked about the X-Men Days of Future Past rumors about Halle Berry getting cut off in the film. The best person to clear out this buzz is no other than the film director himself, Bryan Singer.
Digital Spy asked the award-winning director via Twitter, "@bryansinger are the rumours about Storm being cut down to just 1 scene true? :( Singer replied, "No." That one word was the only confirmation that Halle Berry fans need.
So what can viewers expect from Storm in the next installment of X-Men? In an interview with BBC, The Call star revealed how her pregnancy will affect her portrayal of the mutant character. She said, "Storm probably won't be as badass as she was going to be because we won't be able to do any fighting or flying or things like that..." Berry continued, "but she would play an integral part in the new film."
With the old characters joining the new characters, getting much screen-time might be difficult to disseminate among all mutants. Hopefully Storm will do something amazing in the upcoming film. Do you think that the X-Men Days of Future Past rumors will finally die now that director confirmed Storm's appearance in the movie?
