Prince George News Update: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have confirmed the name of new nanny they've hired. The nanny with 20 years of experience will be joining the royal family to help look after Prince George. She is Spanish national Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Spokesperson from Kensington Palace confirmed the appointment and said in a statement, "Maria is a full-time nanny, who started work with us recently, and will be accompanying the Duke and Duchess and Prince George to New Zealand and Australia. We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the Duke and Duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them."
"When they're out and about she will be looking after Prince George as she's been doing for the last couple of weeks," the spokesperson explaining Maria's role during the tour.
Maria has already on track spending time with the three of them at Kensington Palace.
MailOnline reported that Maria trained at Norland College in Bath and has been working for the couple for several weeks already. The appointment was made in good time for the upcoming royal tour of Australia and New Zealand.
'Maria is highly trained, having graduated from a three-year BA (Hons) course in Early Years Development & Learning with the Norland Diploma,' according to Yahoo Lifestyle.'
"[It] Provides an exciting opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of the early years," describing the course as stated in their website.
"Our lecturers have a passion for this subject area and considerable professional and academic experience in both education and health. Their teaching draws on approaches from many disciplines including psychology, child health, history, philosophy, social science, literature and education."
Sources said that the Maria has worked with other prominent people. They said, "She is not married and doesn't have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional - married to the job."
