With three remaining episodes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. heading this month, it looks the two episodes of it will be tied-in with the second Captain America film Captain America: The Winter Soldier and one the show's producer made a very cryptic message regarding the events of both TV series and film.
A tweet made by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Maurissa Tanchareon hinted the tie-in and goes something like this.
The last remaining episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season, "End of the Beginning", "Turn,Turn, Turn" and "Providence" will be shown this month of April and would likely end season of the ABC'S superhero spy series. End of the Beginning is scheduled to be shown on April 1 and an interesting note here is that the episode's scheduled appearance is set before the showing of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in U.S. April 4, 2014 and that some elements of the film will be hinted on that particular episode.
The next episode after that Turn, Turn, Turn is scheduled to be shown on April 8, a week after the Winter Soldier, and a plot involves a traitor within Agent Coulson's group. For those who have watched Captain America: Winter Soldier would probably know this (who those who haven't, get ready to be spoiled!) the main plot of the film is centered on S.H.I.E.L.D. itself and the organization has been infiltrated and quite possible overrun by HYDRA during the whole movie thanks to Arnim Zola who hatched the scheme. With that in mind no one is safe and no one could be trusted and with S.H.I.E.L.D. dismantled what will happen to Agent Coulson's team in the series? Since S.H.I.E.L.D. has been already infiltrated and a few agents have turned out to be HYDRA terrorist (Agent Sitwell, Crossbones, and Alexander Pierce) and who knows maybe Melinda May is a HYDRA agent. We haven't forgot about her little mission of keeping an eye on Coulson, when she reported to an anonymous contact, so it might be possibility.
Jeph Loeb, another executive producer and comic book writer told IGN in an interview regarding the TV series and the movies tie-in.
"We come back on April the 1st with an episode that's appropriately entitled "End of the Beginning." I think the real question that people will be asking is, who do you trust? When you've got someone like the Clairvoyant that's out there, who clearly is one step ahead of everybody, you know, what is that about? What is that agenda? Who is that agenda? It is by no small coincidence that we're back on April the 1st and Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April the 4th. We're back again on April the 7th, and then we go straight through to the season finale.
This has has been a long, slow fuse waiting for the bomb to go off. All I can tell you is, the bombs are going off. Every single episode is going to have what refer to as a 'Holy eff!' moment."
So Marvel fans, how would you describe this month's remaining episodes? Will it answer some of the questions that are bugging our minds? We'll find out more once returns on ABC this April.
