Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Episode 18 Recap: On this week's episode, a constant event of coughing, sneezing, clearing throats, and vomiting had been showcased in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Residents even made a game out of it, the first one who cannot push through will be the "swap monkey", that is whenever someone will not like their service they can switch with this person. Dr. Richard Webber had been telling them the unspoken rule which is "Doctors stay home, patients suffer."
First, Arizona felt she was going to be sick after seven hours, since a little girl directly sneezed at her face. She had been a vector of this infection while touching hospital facilities and other staff. Then, Jackson and April rode the elevator (which Arizona had been contaminated).
Dr. Cristina Yang had been treating a patient with cardiomyopathy who is scheduled for a heart transplant. She made Dr. Ross in charge of her conduit patients. While Dr. Murphy, who is feeling sick, had been on surgery with Dr. Webber and Dr. Grey, but she has been asked to leave the OR when she puked in her mouth.
Surgeons had been pushing through the day, even after feeling sick. Dr. Shepherd, who has a presentation in front of world-renowned scientists regarding his brain-mapping project, felt it but still insisted that he never gets sick. He was pulled into surgery for Kepner and Bailey's patient who has a very weak immune system. Shepherd continued the procedure in a 'space suit' for him not to spread his illness.
The sister of Yang's patient had also been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and was immediately treated. Their parents and doctors had been very troubled because they don't know what had been causing the girls' hearts to fail. Their son coughed and had something came out from his mouth, but he just said "I'm not sick."
Dr. Shepherd had collapsed and was not able to deliver his presentation. His wife, Dr. Grey, saved the day, because she said that she had heard his speech more than enough for her do it herself. Dr. Webber felt sick, so as Avery and Arizona. Would you want these doctors, even after feeling sick, treating you?
