At Wrestlemania Brock Lesnar did the unthinkable, he beat The Undertaker and "conquered" his legendary winning streak and the crowd's reactions are like a graveyard, dead silence and stunned in disbelief.
Forget about who won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, or Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H, and even the the Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Championship match in the main event. Brock Lesnar's win over The Undertaker is the biggest victory and upset than any of those matches combined and has probably cemented the former UFC World Heavyweight Champion's legacy in the WWE. So what will happen to Undertaker's career now and will this be his retirement match? Rumors have circled that this would be his final WWE match but the result that has been transipred was, undiscribable.
The Undertaker streak is considered a Wrestlmania tradition. It all started at Wrestlemania VII and it goes on and on (with the exceptions of Wrestkemania X and 2000) as many have tried to end this impressive winning streak from legends such as Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H to the current generation such as Randy Orton, Batista and last year's opponent CM Punk with 21 victories and zero losses. That is until Brock Lesnar ended "the streak" at Wrestlemania 30, making it 21-1.
The Undertaker or known by his real name Mark Calaway, is currently the longest competitor in WWE since 1990's and the only remaining competitor from the very first WWE Raw show in 1993. He has been an 8-time world champion (4-time WWE Champion, 3-time World Heavyweight Champion, and USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship under the name Master of Pain), a 2007 Royal Rumble winner, credited for being the first man to win the event at number 30, and he has been an innovator of many matches such as Buried Alive, Casket, Last Ride, and Hell in A Cell matches.
Undertaker's first defeat at Wrestlmania 30 has shocked many fans thinking that Lesnar will become the latest opponent he has put down, but one final F-5 changed the game and made history that even Lesnar's manager Paul Heyman couldn't believe it. Former and current WWE superstars are in shock about it as well.
Indeed the Undertaker has carried an impressive career over the years and a legacy that defines character, inspiration and respect from both fans and wrestlers from the around the world. The streak may be over but the legend lives on and if this would be his last match, it was sure was one hell of run for the Demon of Death Valley.
So what's next for both Undertaker and Brock Lesnar? Well, we better tune in to Monday Night Raw to find out.
