Peaches Geldof Cause Of Death Update: Still Mysterious; Autopsy Is Inconclusive

Peaches Geldof's cause of death remains unknown and mysterious. The writer-TV presenter-model's autopsy results came out inconclusive, and the investigation on what brought about her passing continues.

The authorities found no trace of drugs, struggle, or a suicide note at the scene where the 25-year-old was found. The police are still looking at the circumstances surrounding the death, and it is still being treated as sudden and unexplained. Toxicology reports are still pending however, but will take weeks before results are confirmed. According to Kent County Council, "A decision on whether there needs to be an inquest depends upon the final results of the post-mortem."

Geldof passed away on April 7, at her house in Wrotham, Kent. The police responded to a call by a concerned relative, and found her at 1:35pm.

Her father, musician Bob Geldof, spoke for the family and released a statement to confirm her death. It said, "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."

Peaches is the second daughter of Bob and the late writer and TV presenter, Paula Yates. Her siblings are Fifi Trixibelle Geldof, Pixie Geldof, and half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof. She is survived by her two children, and her husband, Thomas Cohen - lead singer of the band S.C.U.M. Cohen also released a statement, which said, "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever."
