Amanda Bynes has managed to stay out of the news lately. Surprisingly, her Twitter has also steered cleared of the crazy well as of late.
Her name has recently been popping up on the news, but this time, it isn't because she's been burning a house down or anything like that.
The L.A. Times reports that the actress' lawyer is speaking out on rumors of her mental health and setting the record straight.
Attorney Tamar Arminak told People, "For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it."
Amanda Bynes was hospitalized on a 72-hour psychiatric hold last summer after setting a small fire in the driveway of a Thousand Oaks home, then reportedly stayed in treatment for months afterward.
Her behavior on Twitter and other social media outlets had also been alarming in the past.
Arminak also reported that the "Easy A" actress has been free of marijuana for the past nine months and that she no history of alcohol or hard-drug abuse in the past.
The fashion student is on "zero medication" as well.
According to Celebuzz, an anonymous source told People that the star is seeking outpatient therapy several times a week to work through the causes of her past behavior.
Bynes is currently living with her parents in L.A. as she attends the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Irvine.
As she attends school, she is reportedly under her mother's legal control, which has obviously been very good for the troubled star.
Last week, Amanda Bynes celebrated her 28th birthday along with her parents Rick and Lynn Bynes in Los Cabos, Mexico during spring break.
She's been making news for her fans with her bikini body on Twitter.
We're glad to hear the "She's The Man" star is doing well.
