"God's Gift - 14 Days" is continuing a streak of single-digit ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, a rating company on April 9th, the episode of SBS Monday/Tuesday "God's Gift - 14 Days" broadcast on April 8th rated 8.9%. This is 0.3% lower than the previous episode that rated 9.2% and it kept its place in second place despite Han Saet Byul (played by Kim Yoo Bin) being kidnapped again.
"God's Gift" doesn't seem like It'll get to double digit ratings. The large problem behind its low ratings of "God's Gift" is that it's a genre drama. A genre drama is one that not all viewers of all age and genders can view so there are many cases has an objectively low ratings than the popularity may indicate
In addition, another cause that contributes to the shortcomings of "God's Gift" is the performance of "Emrpess Ki" that was around 30% in ratings before the start of "God's Gift" . This was way more dramatic content than "God's Gift" and despite the comeback of "God's Gift", "Empress Ki" is leading with an entertaining storyline and leading more than 20% in ratings.
Saet Byul's death is bringing out all sorts of evidence and it seems like there Is no way that it can squeeze Its way in the plot. As "God's GIft" is broadcast, this means that it'll be hard to attract new audience. Even though the popularity seems to be rising with the word of mouth, this is why the ratings arent rising.
"God's GIft" is getting criticism that the plot has lost power after the chase for the culprit is gettingg longer. There are too many hints. Thus, now it depends on how the puzzle pieces of evidence would be put together. It'll be Interesting to see if "God's Gift" that was applauded with its well-made synopsis will surprise many.
