Naya Rivera and Big Sean have broken up. The Glee star and the rapper, who got engaged last October, have parted ways amidst rumors that he cheated on her.
According to US Weekly, the wedding is off. Big Sean released a statement to confirm it through his representative who told the publication, "After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off. The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."
This comes after Star magazine reported that Big Sean cheated on Rivera, which led her to call the engagement off. Big Sean was quick to debunk the claim however. His representative told US Weekly, "Sean did not cheat on Naya and the allegations are 100% false and untrue," and added that it was the rapper who actually called off the wedding.
The Latina also showed up at the Marie Claire Fresh Faces even in Los Angeles without her gorgeous engagement ring from the rapper. She posted the photo of her on the red carpet at the event to her Instagram account, but did not refer to the split at all. The caption simply said, "Marie Claire magic. #freshface #chic #fashion," with her looking serious in an edgy white top and cropped pants.
It has only been about a year since the couple started dating. They first showed up in public together at the 42 film premiere back in April 2013. The relationship evolved quickly from there. Big Sean proposed to Rivera with an enormous three-carat diamond engagement ring that is supposedly worth $70,000 in October 2013 - just a mere six months after they became official.
