Katherine Heigl: Sues Duane Reade For Publicity And Money? Former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Yet To Get Hit TV Show Or Movie While She Is Still Described As ‘Demanding’

Katherine Heigl is making a comeback. Kind of.

The former "Grey's Anatomy" star has filed a $6 million civil lawsuit against Duane Reade for using her name and an unauthorized paparazzi photograph of her in its commercial advertising.

According to The Daily Mail, the actress is reportedly upset that the company used the photographs of her leaving the New York store carrying several Duane Reade shopping bags.

Daune Reade reportedly tweeted that picture with the caption, "Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can't resist shopping #NYC's favorite drugstore."

The complaint reportedly said that the company posted the photo on its Twitter and Facebook account with captions advertising the store without her approval.

Katherine Heigl's lawyer Peter Haviland stated, "We expect Duane Reade to pay for its willful misuse of Katherine Heigl's name and likeness."

In the midst of all this suing, the "27 Dresses" actress seems to be eager to show the world that she is still in "high demand."

It has been reported that the lawsuit reads like "a virtual resume," greatly "exaggerating" the actress' career success.

The documents read, "Plaintiff is a highly successful television and motion picture actress, producer and celebrity. Plaintiff continues to be in high demand in the entertainment industry."

It states, "A recent search for 'Katherine Heigl' on the Google search engine returned over 3.2 million results."

It seems like someone knew beforehand that there would be speculation that Heigl is suing just for the attention and money.

According to Today, Katherine Heigl's suit was filed in federal court in Manhattan and indicates she would donate any money she receives from the suit to the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, which helps find homes for dogs.

There have been other celebrity false advertising claims in the past. The Hollywood Reporter states that Sandra Bullock had sued companies for advertising a watch as the one used by the actress in "Blind Side."

However, Sandra Bullock is also "America's Sweetheart" whereas Heigl is still known for being "demanding" and "difficult" to work with. We're guessing the Heigl may receive quite a bit of backlash for choosing to sue the drug store.
